Elevated Holiday Glam That Features Both Kid and Pet-Friendly Décor

We have many clients who want to tie in their Christmas décor with the current style of the home. For this family, they had a more natural and traditional setting, looking to bring in a cozy family Christmas theme with an elevated and glamorous feel.

Our focus centered on the first floor which included the foyer, family room, kitchen, dining room and powder room. Using greenery along with whites, creams, silvers, opals and golds. Since this home had pets and little ones, we made sure to use kid-friendly ornaments and properly secured the decorations.

Starting in the foyer, we hung greenery along the staircase banisters and tucked in a few natural elements like red berries, pine cones and silver dollar eucalyptus. A coordinating bouquet was placed in a vase on the entry table, completing the look to this welcoming entryway.

The kitchen focused on a more simplistic look with candles, bows and a wreath placed on the range hood. Complimenting the dining room’s more modern-rustic style, hanging wreaths with gold ribbon from the mirrors opposite the head table. You can even get a peek of a few gold baubles on the olive tree!

Moving into the family room, we took the elevated-glam feel up a notch bringing in more sparkle and texture. This family has a beautiful stone fireplace with a mantle that is perfect for hanging stockings and a flocked garland across the top with opal faux ferns, poinsettia and gold berry branches. The tree was decorated with many of the same pieces and included miniature hanging frames with photos of family members placed around the tree. Rounding out the decor, we decorated the top of the tv cabinet with a ceramic village with a simple green garland.

The styling of this family home with its hints of sparkle and natural elements instantly felt like a cozy Christmas and you could already see their loved ones enjoying the warm fireplace while gathered around for holiday parties and merriment.
